With no prier experience in the art of tracking, the lycanroc struggled for a little bit to find a good scent. He lifted his nose in the air, sampling the cool breeze as it came her way. Her nostrils flared, chest cavity expanded and retracted with each whiff. Genesis couldn’t help but let out a soft sigh. It has only been maybe ten minutes but the cold was still getting to her. She rubbed her gloved hands up and down her crossed arms, trying to create friction to generate warms underneath her jacket. Mentally, she told herself patience is a prize. It wasn’t working.

After several more minutes of there midnight form creature sniffing, the dark haired woman shifted her attention to something rustle in a near by bush. “Hey,” the woman called out, finger lifted to point it out to her canine, “What’s that over there?” The lycanroc let out a snarl, rushing over there to see what it was. The plusle leaped out from its hiding spot, eyes wide as it saw the canine that was heading its way. But before the canine could attack it, her trainer shouted at her to stop. The Lycanroc stopped in her tracks, watching the wild pokemon get away before turning to her trainer.

“Leave it. Not interested. Let's keep looking over there.”

With that, the woman decided to take direction in her own hands. She waved for her canine to follow, moving towards more greenery like area where pokemon could be hiding from humans. The canine swiftly followed, keen eyes searching for any wild pokemon in the area.

Suddenly, something from the trees leaped out and attacked itself to the lycanroc. The critter snickered as the canine snarled viciously, clawed paws reached up to snatch the pokemon that latched to her face. But upon grabbing it, the little togedemaru puffed up. Spikes stabbed into the creature’s hands as it howled from the pain. Another round of snarls ripped through the canine’s throat, still unable to see with the creature attached to her face. Genesis couldn’t help but laugh out loud, unable to control the humor that came from this. Noticing the woman’s laughter, the togedemaru got excited. Turning to leap off the lycanroc to the top the Genesis head.

“What the..?”

The electric and steel type creature snuggled the top of her head. A wave of electricity pulled through her, forcing her body to twitch and her hair stand on end. She twitched, feeling the bolt of energy go through her body but was unable to move. The canine let out a round of snorts similar to laughter that her trainer was getting electrocuted by the same pokemon that harassed her. But soon, the nuzzle stop and the woman gasped for air. Her heart raced, once straight hair standing out in all directions. Genesis snorted, reaching up to nab the creature on her head. However, the wild pokemon leaped off before she could.

“No you don’t! Lycanroc! Surround it and don’t let it get away!”

The canine was quick to react, leaping in front of the creature. She quickly made copies of herself with double team, surrounding the wild pokemon in the matter of seconds. The set of canines snarled, lurching forward with their muzzles opened wide to clamp down on its tiny body in a crunch. The togedemaru was caught off guard, little body being crunched down in the mouth of the canine. It screeched in pain, puffing out its spikes to get the creature to let go. The lycanroc wasn’t going to give in so easily as she whipped her head back and forth despite the pain in her mouth. Soon, it became too much and the creature was out cool.

Dropping the wild creature in front of her trainer, Genesis plucked a ball from her pocket and tossed it in the hopes to catch the little brat. “Nice work,” the woman sighed, attempting to fix her hair and cloths, “That one is a little stinkier.” The lycanroc nodded, the pair waiting to see if they caught the pokemon or not.
